- Found blown fuse for tail lights. Replaced fuse, blows immediately. Dead short somewhere in system. Solution: Illumination wire connected to radio was a bare wire in contact with both a neutral wire and metal frame, creating said short. Process: Analyzed wiring diagram related to the tail lights and marker lights. Started with every bulb and unplugged them. Still blew a fuse. Started digging deeper and found aftermarket alarm system. Took out the alarm system, fuse still blew. Found that the radio is also related to this system. Took out the radio and looked at the wiring. Found 4 bare wires and an improper wire connection. Repaired the improper wire connection and cut the bare wires down. One of the bare wires was connected to the Illumination system. Cut that wire down so it won’t create a short again. REPLACED DARK BULBS
